Math Placement
If you plan to major in a program that requires or recommends MATH 1320 Pre-Calculus, MATH 1430 Calculus, or MATH 2303 Statistics, we recommend taking the ALEKS math placement test. ALEKS is an online, proctored exam that helps place students into the appropriate ÎÞÂëÁ÷³ö math course.
Although ALEKS does not provide course credit, it can help you skip lower-level prerequisites—saving you time and money.
Majors that are strongly encouraged to take ALEKS:
MATH 1320 – Cybersecurity
MATH 1430 – Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Biology (Clinical Lab Science, Life Science, Pre-Vet), Science 7–12 Certification
MATH 2303 – Nursing, Pre-Health (Pre-PT, Pre-PA, Chiropractic, Medicine, Dental, Optometry, Pre-OT, Pharmacy)
